In The Beginning.

In 1983 Barry Rear set up a business reupholstering seating in pubs and clubs. Sometime later Barry was asked to reupholster some seating at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. During his visit he noticed furniture on the hospital corridors which was waiting for disposal. Realising this furniture could in fact be repaired rather than disposed of, Barry offered a quote to repair some of the furniture. His quote was accepted. Since then his service has grown and developed and became a limited company in 2006. The company is still a family run business.

We now contract to the Sheffield NHS teaching hospitals maintaining, re-covering or re-upholstering hospital furniture on wards, in clinics and in offices, at extremely competitive prices. This not only saves the cost of purchasing new but greatly reduces the vast amount of serviceable equipment being disposed of within the NHS.
